Mai Chau to Mekong Delta 15 day / 14 Night Vietnam tours

DAY 1 & 2 HANOI

Hanoi arrival, the rest of the day is free for you to relax or start your explorations of Vietnam’s capital. Enjoy a traditional water puppet performance this evening. [this is depend on your arrival time].

DAY 2: EXPLORE HANOI – Sightseeing today includes a wander through the Ho Chi Minh Quarter, where you’ll visit Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (closed at certain times of year) and the Stilt House set in the gardens of the Presidential Palace. Also visit One Pillar Pagoda and the Confucian Temple of Literature. End the day with a thrilling cyclo tour through Phan Dinh Phung street and the Old Quarter. Wrap up your ride with a strong Vietnamese coffee at a café overlooking St. Joseph’s Cathedral Hanoi.

DAY 3 MAI CHAU

Drive along the mountain road to Mai Chau, a scenic region home to the Muong and Thai ethnic minorities. Make a few stops along the way to visit tea fields, Luong Son market, and ethnic villages with stilt houses. Have lunch with a Thai family. In the afternoon, visit Ban Lac before driving 6km to Ban Cum. From here, take a 2 hour walk around different villages inhabited by the Thai at the foot of the mountains. Upon arrival in Mai Hich village located on a high mountain overlooking a lush valley of rice and vegetables, settle in a beautiful wooden house on stilts. Have dinner and spend the night with the host family. (The house is equipped with mattresses, mosquito net and a shower with hot water)

DAY 4 TAM COC

Take a 3 hour drive to Tam Coc, a new resort with gorgeous swimming pool, located in the middle of rice fields and limestone peaks. Before exploring Tam Coc Cave, visit temples dedicated to Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang of the Dinh Dynasty (968-80), and Emperor Le Dai Hanh of the Le Dynasty (980-1009). The ancient Hoa Lu Citadel, after lunch, board your private sampan. As the boat gently slices through the water, observe the enormous limestone karsts jutting out from the green rice fields giving rise to this area’s other name, ?Halong on the ground’. In the afternoon, you can choose from several activities, including climbing up to the Jade caves near the resort, relaxing beside the pool, walking or biking around the village. DAY 5 HONG PHONG - PHAT DIEM

On day 5 of 15 day Vietnam tours, we take an excursion to the village of Hong Phong to visit an authentic rural market. Next, join a local family for a walking tour to learn about the daily activities of the villagers. Visit the nursery and the town hall. Depending on the season, learn about agricultural work. Return to the homestay. After lunch, drive to Phat Diem – the most beautiful stone church that was built at the end of 19th century with great combination between the architecture of catholic church and that of a traditional Vietnamese temple. Next, return to Tam Coc Garden and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight in Tam Coc Garden

DAY 6 & 7 HALONG BAY

Move to Ha Long Bay, A UNESCO World Heritage site, the bay, filled with thousands of limestone karsts and verdant, monolithic isles, is truly a magical locale. Embark on a luxury wooden junk boat for an enchanting 2 day and 1 night Ha Long Bay cruise. Oevrnight on board in Halong bay.

The next day – Disembark at around 11:30 a.m. and begin the journey back to the airport in Hanoi.Take an evening flight to Hue (about 1 hour long), arriving at the airport and transfer to hotel for check in. Overnight in Hue

DAY 8 & 9 HUE & HOI AN

Pick up for Hue Private Tour, we visit the Imperial City of the Nguyen Dynasty (1804-1945). Delve into the history and beauty of this revered World Heritage destination by touring The Flag Tower, the South Door, the Edict Pavilion, the Supreme Harmony Palace, and the Forbidden Purple City. After visiting the Imperial City, take an hour-long cruise on the romantic Perfume River, Disembark onto the bank to visit the Celestial Lady Pagoda, an ancient Buddhist monument before returning to the city for lunch. Spend the afternoon exploring the Tu Duc Royal Tomb, built amid frangipani and pine trees, designed by the emperor himself. Overnight in Hue

Day 9 – Short drive to Hoi An, the only medieval city in Vietnam that’s still intact. Journey over the infamous H?i V?n, or ?Ocean Cloud,? Stop midway in Da Nang City to visit the Cham sculpture museum. Discover the romantic streets of Hoi An in all its medieval splendor on a night tour of the city. Marvel at the historical Fujian Sanctuary, the well-built Japanese Bridge, the mysterious Tan Ly House .Little wonder this jewel of a city has become a must-see for seekers of cultural and historical heritage. DAY 10 MY SON

Drive to My son, the archaeological site 1 hour away from Hoi an, after visit in MY Son, we travel by boat to visit the village of Kim Bong, which specializes in cabinet making. Mid-afternoon, head back to Hoi An to continue exploring the city at your leisure or to relax at the hotel. Overnight Hoi An

DAY 11 & 12 DISCOVER SAIGON & CU CHI TUNNELS

Flight to Ho Chi Minh City, welcome and pick up by your tour guide in Ho Chi Minh City. Check in, short rest, after we visit Saigon Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Chinese district called Cho Lon and the Thien Hau Pagoda. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Next – Confront the reality of guerrilla warfare at the Cu Chi Tunnels, then return to Saigon. Seamlessly blending past and present, Saigon is both a treasure trove of cultural sights and a city that is driving Vietnam towards a bright future. Experience Vietnam’s colonial past at the Central Post Of ce. Also visit the Reuni cation Palace and the chilling War Remnants Museum

DAY 13 & 14 MEKONG DELTA [BEN TRE]

After breakfast, board the Le Cochinchine boat for a delightful Mekong cruise. Enjoy the sound of the busting floating market amid the aquatic land’s beautiful landscape. Lunch on board after arrive Arrive at Cho Lach, a lovely town in Ben Tre province which is known as the land of coconuts. Disembark and take a bike ride around Cho Lach village, tasting tropical fruits from the orchards. Re-embark and journey to Tra On, Overnight on board the Le Cochinchine boat

Enjoy breakfast on board while cruising toward Can Tho on the Bassac River. Upon arrival, re-embark to visit Cai Rang floating market, the most bustling and largest one in the Mekong Delta. Disembark around 10 a.m. at the Ninh Kieu wharf and begin the journey back to Ho Chi Minh City for an overnight stay

DAY 15 DEPARTURE

End of the trip, transfer to airport well in a head of time.
